As the ninth child in a family of ten siblings, I am no stranger to life’s challenges and disruptions. I was born in a small town in Pennsylvania, very near to where both of my dear parents were born and raised. I have been a resident of Santa Rosa, California since childhood. I feel privileged to enjoy the wonders that surround me–the ocean, the spectacular hillsides, and Santa Rosa’s idyllic combination of urban and pastoral surroundings.
I’ve been blessed by the opportunity to work and live in beautiful Sonoma County for most of my life, and I am an active, involved member of my community. While I devote a great deal of myself to my psychotherapy practice, I also dedicate substantial time and energy to writing, reading, and the maintenance of my many extraordinary friendships. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, walking, gardening, and hiking. As a certified yoga instructor, one of my greatest joys is sharing the benefits of yoga with others.
My vocation as a clinical psychologist allows me the privilege of helping others navigate life’s challenges. My private practice is located at 320 Tenth Street, Suite 303, in Santa Rosa, California. Aside from pre-scheduled group therapy sessions, my office hours are by appointment only. Much of my work focuses on helping clients transform their lives and their relationships through greater self-awareness. I also specialize in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, sexuality concerns, and life transition issues. As my greatest goal is to offer services to those in need, I offer select appointments on a “sliding scale” for those who have serious financial constraints. Pro bono services, including EMDR, are available for our veterans suffering from issues such as combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex PTSD. I currently am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Redwood Psychological Association, and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
